About this spot
From Broadway in Boulder, head west on Canyon Road for approximately 8 miles past the Boulder Falls sign. You'll spot a parking area on the left side of the road. Walk up Canyon Road on the left-side path for about 50 yards to reach The Hole, a circular pool roughly 20 feet across in Boulder Creek. The jumping cliff sits on the opposite bank, requiring you to swim across the creek first. Reaching the top involves a moderately difficult scramble up the rocky face—there's a crack feature to use for assistance, though climbing ability helps. The pool maintains 10 to 12 feet of depth, so a controlled jump prevents striking bottom. If you miss, you land back in the creek for another attempt.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
