About this spot

Located near Cripple Creek, Colorado, this unnamed swimming and diving area features a narrow canyon with a primary pool approximately 20 feet in depth, offering jump heights between 20 and 80 feet at various points. Additional larger pools suitable for swimming lie roughly half a mile further down the canyon. To access from Colorado Springs, travel west on Highway 24 for 30.5 miles to Florissant. Turn left onto Cripple Creek Florissant Road heading toward Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument and continue 8.5 miles. Turn right onto CR11 for 4 miles until reaching a fork, then turn right onto County Road 112. Drive 2 to 2.5 miles until cresting a hill where a sign and parking area appear on the left. Cross the road northward and hike over the hill to locate the canyon trail, which leads downhill for just over a quarter mile. The primary diving pool becomes visible as the canyon curves right. The site falls under Bureau of Land Management jurisdiction. Managers have considered closure due to littering, fires, fireworks, and alcohol-related incidents. The area requires respectful use by all visitors to prevent permanent access restrictions.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
