About this spot
This jump stands at approximately 28 feet, with variation depending on tidal conditions. Currently it is closed to public access following issues with disrespectful behavior. The property owner has reported that jumpers have damaged boat equipment, left debris, and shown disregard for the land. Whether access will be permitted for considerate visitors remains uncertain. The site can be reached by water near buoy 59, positioned just north of Haddam Meadows Island. Land access is possible via the following route: From East Haddam, proceed north on Route 149, then turn left onto Route 196/151. At the fork, bear left onto Route 151 (Moodus Road), followed by a left turn onto Haddam Neck Road, then left again onto Rock Landing Road. Continue to the road's end and walk through the woods for roughly 200 yards. Be aware that using the land route constitutes trespassing on private property. The property ownership may have changed, and those considering access should contact the owner beforehand for permission.
