About this spot

Starting from Portland, head south on I-5 toward Salem and take exit 253 for OR-22 E, which leads toward Detroit and Bend. Follow OR-22 E for approximately 22 miles until you reach Mehama, then turn left onto N Fork Road. This road runs alongside the Santiam River for roughly 15 miles, eventually becoming unpaved. Continue following directional markers for Three Pools. N Fork Road is positioned just west of a small eatery known as the Gingerbread House. You'll encounter two bridges along the way; the second one marks a 65-foot jumping location. Proceeding further up the road provides additional parking areas and more opportunities to jump at both Salmon Falls and Three Pools, each featuring good jump options and clear water conditions.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
