About this spot

This site features a former dam lock structure. The concrete block sits approximately 3-4 feet back from the edge, requiring a substantial outward jump to clear the wall. Access involves an I-beam ladder on the side; climbing requires significant strength and ability. The jump height appears substantial though exact measurements weren't documented. To reach this location from Pittsburgh, drive north on Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) for about 20.1 miles. Do not pass Logan Lane, as this indicates you've gone too far. Parking is available on the right side of the northbound lane roughly half a mile before Logan Lane. From the parking area, locate the tall train bridge overhead and head toward the creek underneath its center. A tunnel runs beneath the highway; proceed through it, exit on the far side, and turn right. The concrete block is situated approximately 200-300 feet ahead. Coordinates: 40.621999,-80.232339.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
