About this spot

From Portland, take I-84 East toward Cascade Locks and cross the Bridge of the Gods (toll bridge, $1 fee at time of visit). After crossing, turn right and continue on the road until you spot signage for Skamania Lodge. Take a left turn onto Rock Creek Drive with the lodge appearing on your left side. Continue past the lodge for approximately three-quarters of a mile, then turn left onto Ryan Allen Road. Shortly after, make a right turn onto Iman Cemetery Road (also possibly marked as "1 Man") and proceed another three-quarters of a mile before turning right onto First Falls View Road. Follow this road to its terminus and park in available spaces while being respectful of neighboring properties. From the road's end, locate a trail that passes a metal barrier and drops steeply downward through forested terrain. Navigate by following the creek sounds, which will lead you to the canyon rim adjacent to the waterfall roughly 300 feet from where you parked. Exercise extreme caution along the canyon rim as the rock formation is fragile and prone to collapse.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
