About this spot
Take Utah Highway 9 to the mile 17 area where Mesa Road (marked with signage) heads north and Sheeps Bridge Road (unmarked) continues south. A recently constructed bridge spans the Virgin River on Sheeps Bridge Road. Beyond the bridge, turn right onto a rough double-track vehicle path and proceed approximately 0.2 miles to reach the rim area where multiple jumping opportunities exist. The jumps originate from rocks in the vicinity rather than from the bridge structure itself. Water levels at this location fluctuate significantly and may not always provide adequate depth for safe jumping, so conditions should be assessed before attempting any jumps.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
