About this spot

Fishermans Ledge rises 60 feet above Conger Cave at Connor Cove. To reach it, start at Durlston Country Park, located south of Swanage (which sits between Bournemouth and Weymouth, near Poole Harbour). The park is clearly marked from Swanage town centre. Leave your vehicle in the main car park and take the private road leading toward the lighthouse. Two pylons appear along the way, marking the eastern edge of a nautical mile boundary. Head west along the cliff-top for approximately one mile until you reach the western pylons. Just beyond the lower pylon by about thirty yards, a path branches left toward the cliff edge. Follow this path down to where the cliff-top forms a roughly square corner and transitions into rock pavement. This location places you directly above The Conger Cave.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
