About this spot

Panther Bluff Falls is on the Saline River near Dierks Lake in Howard County, off Blue Ridge Road with a small roadside pull-off marked by a metal spike/pin ribbon. It's a very short (0.1-mile) but steep descent, with fixed ropes to help visitors up and down the slick, leaf-packed rock and waterfall spray. Coverage (AllTrails, Flickr, YouTube, Instagram) treats it as a scenic viewpoint reached via a challenging scramble rather than a documented swimming or jumping spot.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
