About this spot

From Santa Rosa, take Highway 101 north for approximately 35 minutes, passing through Cloverdale and into Hopland. Turn right onto River Road, which becomes Main Street after about a mile. At the roundabout with four directions, select the route toward Lakeport via Highway 175. After an 18-mile drive over Hopland Mountain, you'll reach a traffic light. Turn right toward Kelseyville and continue for a mile to another traffic light at Highlands Springs Road. Follow that road until you reach a fork, then bear left to find a dirt parking area. From there, walk up the paved road past a silver gate. Further up, you'll encounter a weathered single-bar gate—proceed around it and continue upward until you spot the platform below. From the platform, face toward the lake and locate the plank on the left side of the mountain. Swim to reach it. The lake also offers blue gill and bass fishing opportunities and has a frisbee golf course.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
