About this spot

From Santa Rosa, drive north on Highway 101 for approximately 35 minutes, passing through Cloverdale before reaching Hopland. Turn right onto River Road and follow it for about a mile as it becomes Main Street. At the roundabout with four directional options, select the route toward Lakeport on Highway 175. Continue for roughly 18 miles over Hopland Mountain. After descending, you'll encounter a traffic signal; turn right toward Kelseyville. Drive approximately one mile to another traffic signal at Highlands Springs Road. Head down this road until you reach a fork, then bear left. A dirt parking area is available at this location. From the parking spot, walk up the paved road past a silver gate. Near the top, you'll find a weathered single-bar gate to walk around. Continue upward a short distance to locate the platform below. From the platform, look toward the lake and you'll spot the plank on the left side of the mountain. Swim to the plank to reach the jump. The area also offers bluegill and bass fishing opportunities along with a Frisbee golf course.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
