About this spot
Take US 101 toward Santa Barbara, then get off at the 10th Street/Highway 154 exit. Head east on Highway 154 as it climbs over the mountain range. Once you pass San Marcos Pass, continue a short distance until you spot Paradise Road on your right. Follow it eastward to its terminus. Several jumping spots are visible from the roadside, though the largest ones require hiking the Red Rock trailhead located at the final parking area. This location features numerous options for cliff jumping throughout the area. Note that this is an active ranger-patrolled zone, so exercise appropriate caution.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
