About this spot

Seven Falls is a series of small, seasonal waterfalls and sandstone punchbowl pools on Mission Creek, reached via the Jesusita Trail about a quarter-mile past the end of Tunnel Road in Mission Canyon; access is free with no permit, though the approach requires some scrambling. When spring and summer flow is sufficient, hikers slide down smoothed sandstone chutes and jump into pools below, a spot documented across hiking guides, local outlets, and years of visitor photos and video. The hazard that matters: there's no lifeguard, water levels swing hard with the seasons, and the sandstone can be slick, so check depth before jumping and expect the falls to run dry outside wet months.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
