About this spot
Located near Cripple Creek, Colorado, this unnamed site sits within a narrow canyon system featuring a primary pool approximately 20 feet in depth. Jump options span from 20 feet up to 80 feet, with intermediate heights available throughout. An additional half-mile downstream hike reveals larger pools suitable for swimming. To reach the location from Colorado Springs, travel west on Highway 24 for 30.5 miles to Florissant. Turn left onto Cripple Creek Florissant Road heading toward Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, continuing 8.5 miles before turning right onto CR11. After 4 miles, the road forks; take the right branch onto County Road 112. Drive 2 to 2.5 miles until reaching a hilltop where you'll spot a sign and parking area on the left side. Cross the road northward and hike over the hill to access the canyon trail, which is slightly over a quarter mile long. The diving pool becomes visible as the canyon curves rightward. The site is administered by the Bureau of Land Management. Management has considered closure due to littering, fires, fireworks, and injuries resulting from alcohol use. The area requires respectful treatment from visitors to maintain public access.
