Situated approximately 15 miles north of Durango, Colorado, this spot is accessed via County Road 250, roughly one mile east from Highway 550 heading northbound. The water basin offers exceptional depth—considerably deeper than a person can reach while diving. Best visited during summer months; jumping is not recommended in fall or spring due to cold water temperatures.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
