About this spot
Satellite imagery confirms a real forested cascade with visible whitewater at this pin near Moodus village in East Haddam. A single web source describes a roughly 40-foot waterfall and natural swimming hole in the area, but that description could not be independently corroborated and cited a different set of coordinates, so the swim/jump culture here remains unconfirmed pending an on-the-ground report.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
