About this spot
From I-75 North exit 258 near Atlanta, head west on Cumberland Boulevard to access Paces Mill. Turn left onto Cobb Parkway and after approximately 0.4 miles, bear right at the Chattahoochee/West Palisades/Paces Mill entrance. The road descends beneath Cobb Parkway while curving leftward. For Akers Mill access, exit I-75 North at 258 and turn right onto Cumberland Boulevard from the ramp exit. Continue right onto Akers Mill Road, then right again onto Akers Drive at the watermill structure. Proceed uphill and turn left at the West Palisades sign before turning right into the parking area. Walk a quarter mile to reach the river, where the cliffs are located across the water to the right.
