About this spot
Starting from Lana'i City, drive in the direction of the airport and continue past it toward the harbor. Watch for a Kaunolu sign marking a left turn onto an unpaved road. After roughly a mile, turn right at a King Kamehameha marker and proceed until reaching the coastline. Ample parking is available at the trailhead. From there, a path descends through the valley and leads directly to the jump site. High-clearance or four-wheel-drive vehicles are necessary due to the rough condition of the access road.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
