About this spot
Stari Most in Mostar is the most famous bridge jump in the world — divers have leapt the roughly 24 m (79 ft) drop into the Neretva River since the Ottoman bridge was built in 1566, and it hosts an annual diving competition plus a Red Bull Cliff Diving stop. The river is deep but snowmelt-cold year round; first-timers are expected to train with the local Mostar divers club (Mostari), who supervise jumps from the bridge house. Do not jump unannounced.
