About this spot

This location features cliff jumps spanning 28 feet to 60 feet, with an additional tree jump behind the main area reaching approximately 75 feet that sees minimal use. To access the site, begin on Route 1 south from Kennett Square, PA. After approximately 10 minutes, Route 1 becomes Route 591. Turn right onto Connelly Road, which eventually becomes Old Mill Road as you cross into Maryland. Continue for about a mile and a half until reaching an intersection with Route 222. Proceed straight through to a three-way intersection, then turn onto Cooks Landing Road and follow it to its terminus. Secure your vehicle as thefts have occurred in this area. From the parking area, walk left along the train tracks. Just before reaching a tunnel, turn right onto a trail that leads to the jumping area overlooking the Susquehanna River.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
