About this spot

Located along the Deerfield River, this spot features multiple jumping opportunities including cliff formations and a rope swing setup. The main cliff faces range from 20 to 30 feet, while a bridge structure provides a 40-foot jump option. The rope swing offers jumps of approximately 10 to 15 feet. The river maintains substantial depth in the jump zones, eliminating concerns about shallow water impacts. To reach the site from the Mass Pike, take I-91 North and exit at 24. Turn left onto State Road (routes 5 and 10) and continue past the Yankee Candle facility. Make a left onto Conway Road (route 116), then bear left onto Stillwater Road where you'll find a parking area on the left side. From the parking lot, follow the path to the left leading to a small beach area. The cliff formations and rope swing are visible across the river, accessible via a gentle swim of approximately 150 yards. The upper bridge, located at the first left turn past the parking area, has posted signage warning of fines ranging from $50 to $100 or potential arrest for jumping from this structure.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
