About this spot

Starting from Abilene, Texas, travel westbound on Interstate 20 toward Cisco. Exit at 330 and turn left at the stop sign, proceeding north on TX-206. After 1.8 miles, turn left onto TX-6/Conrad Hilton Boulevard heading north. Drive 3.5 miles further and turn left onto a gravel road where you'll spot the dam ahead. Descend the hill and use the small parking area on the left before reaching the structures. A modest footpath on the left side of the road follows an abandoned asphalt road blocked by dirt mounds. Walk approximately one-tenth of a mile up this path until the dam becomes visible on your right. Always verify water conditions prior to jumping. Rattlesnakes are present in this area.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
