About this spot
This is the Wisconsin side of Interstate State Park in St. Croix Falls -- the database had it mislabeled in Moses Lake, Washington, an unrelated data error. Locals call it 'Pothole Park' for the 200-plus glacial potholes carved into basalt along the 0.4-mile Pothole Trail, including the 60-foot-deep 'Bottomless Pit.' Separate from viewing the potholes, people jump from basalt cliffs along the St. Croix River dalles near the day-use/beach area -- this is genuinely dangerous, with swift current, submerged rock, and boat traffic, and past drownings have been reported here. A state park entrance fee applies. Note there is a similarly-named Minnesota Interstate State Park directly across the river; this is the Wisconsin unit.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
