About this spot
This is a natural rock bluff on the right, south, bank of the Current River, reportedly about 4.5 miles downstream of Alley Spring within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, reachable only by canoe, kayak, or raft rather than by road. Outfitters in Eminence and at Alley Spring rent boats for the roughly 7-mile, half-day float between the two, drifting at an easy 2-3 mph. Reported jump heights run from about 8 to 15 feet. The Current River runs cold, clear, and spring-fed year-round, with a swift current and submerged rocks that make water depth unpredictable, so scout before jumping. The National Park Service prohibits jumping from trees and rope swings in the Riverways; check current signage for any restriction on natural rock jumps.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
