About this spot
The jump location sits on the river's right bank roughly 4.5 miles downstream from Alley Springs. River access is the primary way to reach this spot. Multiple outfitters in the region offer canoes, kayaks, and rafts for navigation. Float trips accessing this jump typically launch at Alley Springs with takeouts at Eminence or Two Rivers. Using a canoe or kayak from Alley, expect roughly 3mph floating speed without frequent stops or continuous paddling—watch for the cliff after approximately 90 minutes. Alley Spring ranks as Missouri's 10th largest spring and maintains cold water temperatures and adequate year-round river levels. Always enter the water to inspect landing zones for hazards and current water depth before jumping. This river section has a documented history of serious injuries and fatalities from reckless jumping and diving practices. During the photo session, water depth measured 12-15 feet in the main channel and approximately 8 feet at 8 feet out from shore. Additional jump spots exist along the 15-mile float to Two Rivers, though none matched this location's height. The river also features quality swimming areas throughout. A full-day trip floating and exploring multiple jump and swim locations is feasible, but prioritize safe jumping practices.
