About this spot

Starting from the North Shore, head south along the eastern lakeside past Sand Harbor until you spot a parking area on your right. From there, walk down the dirt road continuing southward, being careful to stay on the main path that avoids turning into private driveways or marked trails. The walk takes roughly thirty minutes at a moderate pace. Keep following the dirt road until you reach the stairs descending to Whale Beach. You'll find multiple jumping options ranging from five to twenty feet in height, with the larger twenty-foot option featured in the photo. Beyond jumping, the area is excellent for swimming, and an underwater tunnel is present in the water, so bringing a mask would enhance exploration of that feature.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
