About this spot
Start from Keene and head north on RT 12A toward Alstead. Once in Alstead, take RT 123 east approximately 2 miles from the town center, then turn left onto Cobb Hill Rd. Continue uphill for about a mile until you pass a road marked "No Trespassing" and take the next left turn. You'll spot a red house across from an open field; the small access road is on the left side as you face the field. Drive down this rough dirt road for roughly a mile (at the fork, stay to the right) until you reach a gate covered with signage. The road surface is severely deteriorated and likely to scrape the undercarriage of most vehicles, so drive carefully. Leave your vehicle parked on the right side below the gate and walk the remaining mile up the road from there.
