About this spot

To reach this location, take Route 80 East from the Pennsylvania or western New Jersey area, then exit onto Route 23 North toward Wayne. Continue on Route 23 North and take the Clinton Road exit, turning right. Follow Clinton Road for approximately 15 minutes through a residential area before entering wooded terrain alongside a large lake. The road surface transitions from rough to smooth pavement. Once the road smooths out, watch for a white house appearing unexpectedly on the right side. Beyond this house, you'll notice a cleared area with electrical transmission towers. A small parking area sits on the left side of the road. Begin hiking uphill adjacent to the power lines. This is legal hiking within state park boundaries. Approximately halfway up, turn right to follow the blue-marked trail through the woods, which takes about 30 minutes total. You'll reach a T-junction where you should turn right. At a subsequent fork, you'll have a vantage point overlooking a small lake below. The left fork with white blazing involves slightly more difficulty due to boulder obstacles and wetland sections but delivers you directly to the cliff formations. The right fork with blue blazing offers an easier route that terminates on the opposite lake shore, requiring a brief swim to reach the cliffs. The cliff terrain consists of tiered jumps: 35 feet, 40-41 feet, and a highest jump around 45 feet that demands a substantial running start to clear lower rock formations. A snapping turtle inhabits the area and surfaces periodically for air; while it won't be aggressive in water, exercise caution to avoid encountering it.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
