About this spot

From Thruway Exit 17 in Newburgh, head toward eastbound I-84 toward Beacon. Cross the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge and take exit 12 for Fishkill. Turn right at the traffic light and travel straight approximately 2 miles. You'll see a Getty Station on your left, followed by red brick residential buildings where you should park. Walk past these structures to locate a fence with an opening. Pass through and cross an open field to reach a hilltop. The jumping area lies just beyond. Multiple drops of roughly 25-35 feet are positioned on the side you initially approach. A separate cliff reaches 50-57 feet on the opposite side of the creek, with variations depending on your launch point. The pool maintains considerable depth, with bottom contact requiring significant descent through mud. No enforcement presence has been observed at this location, and no posted restrictions encountered.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
