About this spot

Exit the New York State Thruway at exit 21 near Catskill. From the exit ramp, turn left toward Catskill, then bear right onto Route 23. Turn left onto Route 32 south, followed by a right turn onto Route 23A. Continue on 23A as it passes through Palenville. Beyond the first bridge, proceed uphill on 23A. Past the second bridge, you'll find parking on the right side adjacent to a large stone retaining wall, or continue slightly further up the road. The location sits directly across the road just above the second bridge. Alternative parking is available on the left side at the first designated area after the initial bridge, continuing uphill on 23A.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
