About this spot

Take NYS87 to exit 30 for Lake Placid/Keene. Follow NYS73 toward Lake Placid/Keene, passing the right turn onto NYS9 toward Elizabethtown at Spltrock. After crossing a white cement bridge over the jumping stream, pull into the parking area on the left. Walk upstream approximately one-third mile from the bridge to access the main site, which features jumps from either bank with the tallest reaching 35-40 feet. Additional jumping opportunities exist on the stream as it runs below the bridge and continues downstream alongside NYS73. Water levels can be shallow during dry periods, so verify depth conditions before jumping.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
