About this spot

From the NYS Thruway, take the Saugerties exit and head left off the ramp. Go west on Route 212 until you reach a firehouse on your left. Turn right at the Y intersection, then right again at the firehouse in Centerville onto Blue Mountain Road. At the general store, turn left onto West Saugerties Road (if you pass a school on your right, you've gone too far). Continue as this road becomes Plaat Clove Road while ascending the mountain. There is a small pull-off on the right approximately one-eighth mile up the road where you can park. From there, cross over the embankment and descend a steep hillside until you reach a trail. The stream contains at least three substantial pools. Note that private property borders the trail on the left side, though the stream itself is accessible.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
