About this spot

Sally Queen Falls is a real 36-foot cascading waterfall on Sally Queen Creek in the South Mountains Game Land, Rutherford County (nearest town Bostic). There is no maintained trail; reaching it requires an off-trail bushwhack over a ridge of Richland Mountain and multiple creek crossings, with guides warning of a high chance of getting lost since the route isn't shown on standard mapping apps. Tropical Storm Helene (2024) left heavy blowdown along the approach. No swimming or jumping culture is documented in any source; it is described purely as a remote bushwhack hiking objective, with getting lost/navigation as the main hazard.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
