Mooney Falls is a short, family-friendly cascade about 3/4 mile past the Big Laurel Falls trailhead on Forest Road 67 in Nantahala National Forest, with a roughly 20-ft main drop over tiered rock. Trail guides describe it purely as a quick viewing stop, not a swimming or jumping destination, and no cliff-jumping or pool culture is documented. Seasonal road closures affect winter access.
