About this spot

Big Bearwallow Falls is a roughly 35-foot cascade on Big Bearwallow Creek in Pisgah National Forest near Rosman. There is no maintained trail: from the NC-215 pullout about 2.6 miles north of US-64, hikers descend a steep, unmarked embankment and scramble upstream along the creek to reach the base. No cliff-jumping or swimming-hole reports were found for this spot; treat the footing and any pool as unverified and use caution on the loose, steep approach.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
