About this spot

Bixhoma Falls is a modest cascade on Mountain Creek reached by a short, easy 0.3-mile trail from the Bixhoma Lake trailhead outside Bixby. Multiple independent hiking guides (AllTrails, Trailforks, regional travel sites) describe a swimming hole at the base that's popular with locals in summer, especially after rain when flow is strongest; the creek can run dry in drought. No official cliff-jumping culture is documented, height and pool depth are unmeasured, and the approach trail is sometimes overgrown. Swimming is banned in Lake Bixhoma itself but tolerated at the creek/falls area. Access is free via the public trail network; check recent rainfall before visiting, since the falls disappoint when dry.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
