About this spot

Heading into Tillamook on Highway 6, look for a truck weigh station ahead. Just before reaching it, turn left onto Olsen Rd. At the stop sign, continue straight onto Trask River Rd., passing Circle Dr. on your right. Travel 1.5 miles from the stop sign until you spot a left-hand turnoff onto Trask River Rd., which parallels the Trask River upstream. Continue on this road for 10 miles until you reach an RV park. Turn left into the park and use the day use parking area on the right side of the entrance. A small trail behind the dumpster leads down to the swimming hole where the reference photo was taken. The main feature is a rock pillar that requires climbing via rope to access. Previously, climbers used a rope with a foot loop system requiring significant upper body strength to summit. As of the last update, the rope is no longer in place, so visitors should bring their own climbing equipment or devise an alternative method for ascent. Exercise caution at this location.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
