About this spot
This location features a remnant from an old dam structure that was removed years ago. Discovery of the jumping block occurred approximately two years prior during a boating expedition. The formation consists of a concrete structure accessed via two I-beams along its side, though climbing requires significant strength and skill. A vertical post sits roughly 3-4 feet back from the edge, requiring jumpers to launch with adequate horizontal distance to clear the wall. The exact height has not been precisely measured. To reach this spot from Pittsburgh, travel north on Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) for approximately 20.1 miles. Do not pass Logan Lane, as that indicates you've gone too far. Parking is available on the right side of Route 65's north lane approximately half a mile before Logan Lane. A large train bridge stands overhead near the parking area. Head beneath the center of this bridge toward the creek, where a tunnel passes under the highway. Exit the tunnel, turn right, and the block is situated roughly 200-300 feet downstream.
