About this spot
Adams Falls is a small waterfall on Adams Creek within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, near Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, reached by a short unofficial forest path off US 209. Cliff jumping and swimming here are explicitly banned by the National Park Service: rangers close the entire Adams Creek drainage from May 1 through September 30 each year for public safety, and jumpers caught can be fined $400. The pool below the falls is shallower than it looks, hidden rocks are common, and several jumpers have suffered serious spinal and head injuries. Water levels and footing shift with rain and season. Despite the prohibition, the spot remains popular on social media. Treat this as a scenic viewpoint only, not a legal jumping location.
