About this spot

From the highway entrance at Eagle Rock, take the road toward Bill's Road, which is a rough dirt track. You'll encounter a cemetery, junkyard, and several residential cabins along the way. Continue as far as the road allows and leave your vehicle. The river lies approximately 30 feet from where you park. Locate the rock across the water. Most of the river crossing can be traversed on foot, though roughly the final 20 feet requires swimming. Water currents vary in strength, so exercise caution during crossing. The depth is unknown, but reportedly deeper than wading depth, which should provide adequate clearance. The rock sits on private property belonging to a local resident who generally permits access. The property owner frequently offers beverages to visitors.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
