About this spot
Rosecrans Falls is a roughly 20-foot waterfall on land jointly managed by Bald Eagle State Forest and the Lock Haven Water Authority, just off I-80 near Loganton in Clinton County. It's an easy hike, well under a mile from parking near Nittany Ridge and Spruce Run Roads, crossing the stream early and staying on the north bank to avoid private property on the other side. Water cascades over near-vertical steps into a shallow pool below — described in trip reports as scenic rather than a swimming destination, and no jumping culture is documented. A companion database entry under the misspelling 'Rosecran Falls' appears to duplicate this same waterfall. Access is free and legal on state forest land.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
