About this spot

Head east on Route 422 from Pottstown toward Phoenixville, then exit at Royersford (Route 29, soon to be Bridge Street). Follow Bridge Street into Phoenixville, passing the Mont Clare Fire Station while continuing on Route 29. Cross the bridge, then turn right onto North Main Street and stay right through the irregular intersection. At the T-junction, turn right again. Take your first right onto Railroad Street and park at the end. Walk through the woods to the railroad tracks and proceed right. You'll encounter an overhead crossing; climb the cliff on your right side beneath this bridge. Facing back toward the tracks, move backward and rightward to find an opening beside the bridge structure and ascend. Upon reaching the upper tracks, turn right to locate the jump site. Most railings have deteriorated, but two relatively safe jump locations exist: the primary one used by locals, and another marked by a purple railing on the opposite side. The area requires caution and shouldn't be occupied for extended periods.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
