About this spot
Jacoby Falls is a roughly 30-foot cascade in Loyalsock State Forest, reached via a 1.6-mile trail from the Cotner Farm trailhead off Wallis Run Road. Flow is inconsistent and can dry to trickles in summer; it draws visitors in winter when ice forms a walk-behind cave. Deeper pools farther downstream see wading/swimming, but not at the falls' base, which is considered hazardous. Buggy in summer.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
