About this spot

Starting from Reading regional airport, head north on Route 183 for approximately 10-15 minutes, then turn onto Old Church Road. Continue on Old Church Road and make your first left turn onto Lake Road. Follow Lake Road to its terminus. A short walk is required from there—proceed past the yellow guard rail and continue along the small road. You will pass a distinctive old house before descending toward the lake. The road ends at the lake's edge; a dirt path on your right leads uphill to the cliff formation. From the cliff's end, looking left reveals the jump locations. A tree swing extends approximately 60 feet but sees little use and would benefit from water depth verification at its landing zone. The primary jump point lies further left along the cliff face, standing 25-30 feet tall with sufficient water depth for jumping or flipping, though diving is unsafe. Jumping during drought conditions is strongly inadvisable. Note: immediately after turning from Route 183 onto Old Church Road, there is a bridge suitable for jumping that is relatively secure, though visibility from park rangers should be avoided. Again, do not jump during drought periods. The lake is Blue Marsh Lake.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
