About this spot

Access this location by exiting I-80 west at the initial rest area you encounter after the lake becomes visible. Note that this rest stop sits on the opposite side of the highway barrier from the lake itself. A clearly marked pedestrian trail crosses the interstate and descends toward the water. Multiple jump options are available at varying elevations, so choose based on your ability level. Many recreational boaters frequent this area—consider asking one to use their depth-finder to confirm water depth before attempting larger jumps. If arriving from Park City heading east on I-80, you cannot access this rest stop due to the divider orientation. Instead, take exit 168 and merge onto I-80 heading west; the target rest area is the first one beyond that exit. Approximately 5-6 distinct jump heights exist here, spanning roughly 10 feet up to around 100 feet.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
