About this spot
Dam-altered falls on the Waits River in downtown Bradford, VT; satellite confirms the exact dam/whitewater feature next to the road bridge and parking. Well photographed (Instagram, YouTube, World Waterfall Database) but most of the river's flow is diverted to an adjacent generating station, and surrounding banks are village/mill/private land — sources describe it as a viewing stop, not a designated swim spot. Separate documented swimming holes exist elsewhere on the Waits River, not at this dam site.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
