About this spot

From Burlington VT, head north on North Ave and turn left at the high school. You can park in the high school lot or drive to the beach and pay for parking. Once at the beach, walk north toward the wooded area where you'll find a trail leading inland. Follow it, keep left at the initial fork, and continue toward the water. This is a well-known location that's straightforward to locate. The water depth is substantial—you'll mainly find sand when diving down rather than hitting bottom quickly. Multiple jump platforms are available, with the tallest reaching approximately 30 feet. Some people have attempted jumping from tree branches in the area; this practice has resulted in injuries like broken arms and is not advised. The proximity to the beach makes this suitable for swimming as well. If you venture deeper into the woods, you'll encounter Rock Point, though jumping conditions there remain unknown.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
