About this spot

This former marble extraction site features a basin of clear freshwater surrounded by multiple jumping cliffs. The location draws substantial crowds during warm weather, with capacity for well over 100 visitors on peak days. Several marble sculptures are embedded in the quarry walls—a feature worth exploring. While privately owned, public swimming is permitted. Access via Route 7 south of Manchester, Vermont: take Route 30 northwest toward Dorset. The quarry sits along Route 30 on the right side as you enter town near Kelly Road. Parking is available by turning onto Kelly Road heading north and using the left shoulder, which accommodates numerous vehicles. Do not park on Route 30 itself. Swimming occurs at your own risk.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
