About this spot
Take Interstate 64 to exit 136 in Louisa County, Virginia. Head toward US 250 East following directional markers from the interstate. Turn left at Poindexter, located just past a lumber yard on your right, and travel 3-4 miles. Turn right onto Rock Quarry Road and go a half-mile further. You'll spot a deteriorated fence structure with no parking signage on the left side of the road. Leave your vehicle on the right. Cross over the fence and the rocky area behind it, then follow the path on your left. This will lead you to the quarry and lake area, where multiple jump locations exist. The optimal jumping spot lies a short distance down the path once the quarry first becomes visible.
Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
