About this spot

From Northern Virginia, take I-66W to I-81S, then exit at 225 onto Rt 275W. Travel 5 miles and turn right onto Rt 250, continuing for 15 miles before making a sharp right turn onto Braley Pond Rd. Follow this road as it transitions to dirt and gravel surface for approximately 6 miles until you reach a T-intersection. Turn right toward Elkhorn Lake and proceed straight to the end of the road. To access the jumping area, head toward the dam and veer left where you'll find an old staircase. Climb the stairs until you reach the same elevation as the dam's top. A trail branching left from there leads directly to the rocks. Jump heights range from approximately 30 to 45 feet. Be aware that a no swimming sign is posted at the location. The surrounding area features notable natural scenery.

Safety first. Cliff jumping is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Conditions — water depth, submerged hazards, and access — change constantly. CliffScout is community-sourced reference information, not a guarantee a spot is safe. Always assess the conditions yourself before jumping, and never jump where you're unsure. You assume all risk.
